Lightning

Video’s are a terrific resource for teachers to access when planning their lessons. When choosing a video from sources such as edublogsTV, TeacherTube and YouTube I want to make sure that it’s not just repeating what can be found in a textbook, but rather a real life example of the concept that is being covered in class.
OK…say I want to find a video on what causes lightning for my year 8 science class.

On TeacherTube I found this video.

On YouTube this one came up.

So…what I have found is that filtered content provided on sites for teachers, such as TeacherTube, is not necessarily always the content I would choose for students. Any discerning person can judge whether a video, from whatever source, is suitable for students.
